Natalia Villegas (Nah-tahl-yah Vee-yay-gahs) is a 23-year-old Mexican-American bisexual filmmaker from San Diego, California. She's primarily worked on projects spanning various genres, including comedy, drama, horror, and more. Obtaining her Associate's degree in Video Production in June 2025, as a student, she has collaborated on 20+ projects, including short and feature films, television-style skits, and independent YouTube videos. She works primarily as an Assistant Director, 2nd Assistant Camera, and Gaffer. 

 

Natalia was the Assistant Director for Bela Balara's A Vampire, a horror thriller, which won Best Indie Feature and Best Thriller at the Los Angeles Film Awards in June 2025, with more awards on the way. She was also the Assistant Director and Team Leader for A Slice of Deception, a comedy, mystery, noir that won 2nd Runner Up Audience Choice By Screening Group - Group D for the San Diego 48 Hour Film Festival 2025. 

 

She aspires to create several of her own series and films that deal with human problems and magical solutions, golden-era YouTube nostalgia, test-tube baby superheroes, mutant monster apocalypses, and more.

 

Outside of filmmaking, her hobbies include playing Dungeons & Dragons and Minecraft, listening to music, doing yoga, and watching movies and TV.
